Philosophy:

Children can begin learning at a very young age, for some as early as 3 months. A child’s brain can soak up knowledge like a sponge. I believe that it is the responsibility of the parents, teachers and caregivers to teach children as much as we possibly can. If we fill their spongy minds up with as much knowledge as possible, it will give the children the start they need to go on to preschool and kindergarten with the tools they need to succeed. Children in my care are read to daily as a group and individually. The Alphabet is reviewed daily using flash cards, books and preschool work sheets. Children are also taught Numbers and Counting, Shapes and Colors, Cut and Paste, Tracing and Dot to Dot. These are just some of the activities we do to teach the early fundamentals.

I also aid in “Potty Training”. I have books, DVD’s and coloring material that children interact with and enjoy. This makes the whole process more fun for the child.

All children are encouraged to do their best and make good choices. Positive reinforcement is used, no negative discipline. This is a loving and happy home.
